The practice of driving a motor vehicle while engaged in another activity, typically one that involves the use of a cellular phone or other electronic device.
“AAA now says that distracted driving accounts for 25 to 50 percent of all accidents”Research shows that use of mobile device and distracted driving is risky business for both employees and employers.  Just consider these facts:

  • 50% of fleet drivers admit to texting, emailing or browsing while driving.
  • These employees are 23X more likely to crash.
  • Costing employers and insurers $11 billion annually.
  • 8% of fleet operators have been sued by third party plaintiff’s
