How is GO RUGGED different from the standard Geotab GO device?
Unlike the standard GO, the RUGGED version is IP67‑rated for water and dust resistance, built with a durable casing to withstand dirt, moisture, and extreme conditions often found in construction, mining, agriculture, and oil & gas industries.
The GO9 RUGGED is unable to read certain engine protocols and the data associated with them. This includes:
- Single‑wire CAN bus systems, which provide seat belt and odometer information on select GM, Fiat, and Dodge models.
- Medium‑speed CAN bus systems, such as those used for seat belt data in Ford Transit and Mazda vehicles.
