When external wired power is unavailable, the Geotab GO Anywhere Plus can operate using four battery-only modes: Movement with delayed updates, Movement with immediate updates, Time-based reporting, and High-Frequency Mode.
These modes allow fleets to choose the appropriate balance between tracking detail and battery consumption. High-Frequency Mode can provide location updates every 15 minutes while an asset is moving, making it useful for situations where more frequent location information is needed.
Direct-to-Cell Satellite Connectivity
Geotab GO Anywhere Plus supports direct-to-cell satellite connectivity through select carrier partners, extending asset visibility into areas where cellular coverage is unavailable. Availability depends on the carrier, SIM configuration, and region.
When satellite connectivity is available, the device can continue communicating from remote or off-grid locations. Wired devices continue recording asset information while outside cellular coverage and upload additional stored data once cellular connectivity is restored.
